Oh my; it seems twelve months have passed since I decided to put my incoherent thoughts and opinions into digital print for public consumption. My blog is a year old, is what I’m trying to say. I may not be the most prolific writer, but I have poured my heart into every post I’ve sent out into the ether, and for the most part, I’m proud of what I’ve done. But enough patting myself on the back – this post’s real purpose is to say a mighty thank you to everyone who has read, liked, or commented on any of my writing this year, and to all those who have inspired me and others through their own work. I feel very lucky to be part of this blogging community, which has been endlessly supportive and has so much to offer. When I was deciding where to set up my site this time last year, I wasn’t at all sure of the right direction to go; now I think it’s safe to say I made the best choice.

So, again, thank you. As a small editorial note, I’m changing the title of the Waxing Lyrical series (can I call it a series if there’s only one post?) to What’s So Special? i.e. What’s So Special About The Simpsons? (answer: everything). The premise will be the same – me singing the praises of something I like – I just thought Waxing Lyrical was a crap title. So look out for a post in that vein sometime soon, as well as more medical nonsense from the Video Game Clinic. I will also endeavour to read more from this fantastic community and contribute to the open-minded discourse. I look forward to writing and reading much more in the future; and playing more games, of course.
