20+ followers – time for a heartfelt post

I wanted to write a quick post thanking everyone who has followed Insert Memory Card so far; I promise that every follower is as unexpected and welcome as the last, and I’m so grateful that people are taking the time to read and (hopefully) enjoy what I write. I’ve found the gaming community on WordPress to be incredibly open, genuine, funny and insightful, and I’m happy to be able to contribute to the ongoing conversation.

Thanks to my work schedule I sometimes don’t get as much time as I’d like to write or read about games, so you’ll have to forgive me if there is the occasional lull in the frequency of my posts. I try to get something posted around once a week, but I also want to ensure that the stuff I’m sharing is stuff that I’m proud of, so occasionally I may take my time with it. There are a few new games coming soon that I’m eager to jump into, and I’m excited to share my thoughts about them and see what everyone else has to say.

I’ve enjoyed managing my blog and following others more than I ever imagined when I started this little project, and a massive reason for that is the support and encouragement of everyone here. Thanks to all of you I’m going to keep writing, keep learning, and most importantly, keep playing video games.

Happy gaming,

Scott

  1. In all my honesty; I’ve only read maybe 3 posts on your blog, but that was enough for me to follow you. I liked what I read.

The gaming community here welcomed me very well too – I didn’t expect such warm welcome, messages and thoughts – they’re amazing here!

If writing contributes to your happiness, then keep doing it! Don’t stop 🙂 This seems like a very interesting adventure

  2. My blog started really slowly. I remember this time last year I had about 5 followers (including my mother and wife), so anything I can do to help motivate you to keep on truckin’ is worth it to me. I personally love my little hobby, and I want to encourage others in their pursuit of theirs.

So cheers to you, Scott. I hope to see more from you when you’re able.
